Berkeley first appoints new Director of Development

Berkeley First, the division of the Berkeley Group dedicated to providing attainable homes for all, has appointed Barbara Richardson as its new Development Director. Barbara will primarily be responsible for identifying and securing new land opportunities to strengthen Berkeley First’s land pipeline. She previously held a similar position at Savills and has extensive experience in negotiating development contracts and Section106 agreements, whilst taking into consideration local and regional housing policy.

Barbara’s appointment adds to a growing team at Berkeley First, in what promises to be a very active role helping the company seek out new opportunities to deliver well-designed, attainable homes for young professionals and the private market.

Current Berkeley First projects include 661 London Road, Isleworth, a development of 190 one, two and three bed apartments; Time House, Clapham, 36 studio, one and two bed apartments, and Pier Road, Gillingham, which includes over 1500 waterfront homes.
