The ‘art’ of selling

The professionally designed and decorated Malham show home at Lakelands Edge, in Westbury, has been dressed with original artwork painted by the development’s own sales consultant, Angie Cotterill, from Lower Vobster.

As well as showcasing several of Angie’s paintings, the new show home also features an artist’s studio, designed to show the flexibility of a brand new home.

Redrow’s area sales manager Sandra Hughes says: “Just because our floor-plan says a room is a bedroom doesn’t mean the customer has to use it as such. We know that lots of our purchasers use their living space in very different ways and we want to reflect this in our show homes.”

Angie, who has a university degree in fine art, says: “I was delighted to be asked to exhibit my work in the show home. It’s a great honour and nice to be able to combine two important aspects of my life.”

Redrow’s interior designers took motivation from Angie’s paintings - landscapes inspired by the surrounding Wiltshire countryside – in coming up with a scheme for the Malham townhouse. They were also influenced by the tranquillity of the lake overlooked by the development.

The show home has been designed as a soothing environment with a natural, organic style and delicate colours, including duck egg blue, pale green and cream.

Since its launch, the delightful property has already inspired reservations and sparked a whole host of fresh interest in the new homes being built at Lakelands Edge.

The development features a variety of two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses within beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Current prices are from £199,000 for a three-bedroom Ivel semi, whilst a three-bedroom, three-storey Malham town house with integral single garage – similar to the show home - is priced from £215,000.

Lakelands Edge enjoys an idyllic and well connected location - approximately 12 miles from the historical city of Bath. Westbury railway station is within walking distance, from where trains to London take approximately an hour and a half. The development is close to two lakes and countryside alive with wildlife, while the famous White Horse hill carving is also visible from the site.

The Malham show home is now open daily from 10am to 5.30pm with the chance to see some original artwork by a very talented local artist. Visit the marketing suite on Station Road for further details.
