Fun and games in Westbury

Fun and games in Westbury Buying a home may be life’s biggest purchase but it doesn’t have to be a chore, as one housebuilder proved in Westbury by injecting some fun into the process with face painters, entertainers and oodles of games.

Visitors to Redrow’s Lakelands Edge development were able to enjoy giant floor games – big enough for kids and adults alike – and a flaming BBQ to fill any rumbling tummies.

Sandra Hughes, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), “The day was a real success – all the visitors had a whale of a time with our floor games, and the home-cooked food went down a treat.

“The weather was kind to us and gave visitors the chance to have a look around Lakelands Edge and the beautiful properties we have here, including our fully furnished show home.”

Lakelands Edge is a sought-after development set in the picturesque town of Westbury, close to two lakes, and currently features three and four-bedroom properties – priced from £209,995 and £237,995 respectively.

Included in the homes currently available is the three-bedroom Malham property – a spacious, mid-terrace home whose elegant design enables the homebuyer to utilise its rooms in many ways.

The living room situated on the first floor, for example, offers added privacy and a third bedroom on the same floor can be used as a study area. The spacious top floor includes the master bedroom and second bedroom – both benefiting from extra privacy and space.

The Malham also enjoys an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom, stylish open-plan kitchen and dining area and plenty of storage, as well as an integral garage.

Lakelands Edge enjoys the perfect balance between relaxed rural living and a more bustling contemporary lifestyle. All modern amenities are to be found in the town centre close by the development. Westbury offers a wide range of sporting and leisure activities – such as horse riding, walking and golfing, not to mention the array of sports clubs around the area.

Near by Lakelands Edge is the famous Salisbury Plain, and another well-known landmark is to be found not too far away – in the shape of a giant white horse that is carved into the downs on the east of Westbury. Said to be carved c.878 the horse is to celebrate the history of the Anglo-Saxon king, Alfred the Great.

Redrow’s fun day may have been and gone but that doesn’t mean you can’t cheer yourself up with a brand new home at Lakelands Edge. For more information, visit redrow.co.uk.
