An invitation is being extended to take a glimpse of Thames-side life in the conservation village of Castle Eaton – and it may be the only chance to do so for a while.

Developer Bach Homes launched Ettone Barns little more than two months ago, revealing guide prices for the four properties of between £500,000 and £1.1 million. But now just one house is still available.

There’s no need for that budget for the remaining house, though, as its guide is £895,000. Helene is convinced that the open house event on Saturday July 7 from 10am – 4pm will quickly convince viewers what outstanding value that is, too.

The house has five bedrooms, three of them en-suite, and there’s a master bedroom on its own on the second floor that has a dressing area plus access to a large area of storage.

Contemporary thoughts have influenced the layout of the ground floor, which does not have the formal room divisions of the upper two floors. Even so, it encompasses defined kitchen, breakfast, dining, living, and study areas. Large glassed openings at the rear of the house enable it to blend into the garden on warm summer days and still flood with light in the cooler weather.
