Refurb for the nationals
The former Kwik Save and Bargain Box shop in the centre of Trowbridge could be home to a national retailer. An extensive refurbishment programme is going on at the Fore Street premises which are on the market with commercial property agents Dreweatt Neate.
There are two units available, one of 7,000 sq ft and the other 3,000 sq ft which Dreweatt Neate say would be suitable for a café or restaurant.
The firm’s Brian Fitchett said: “Interest has been expressed in the larger unit by a national chain but at this stage there are no firm arrangements in place and until such time as a deal is done, I can’t say any more than that,” said Mr Fitchett.
Last year, Focusnet, a national on-line register of retail enquiries, showed that more than 30 companies, including Ask, Debenhams, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Body Shop and TK Maxx were among those wanting to be represented in the county town.
