A bird’s eye view in Westbury

Jennifer and her husband David are the first homebuyers to move in to the popular development of 93 homes in the Wiltshire town.
The couple were looking for a home with good local transport connections and Lakelands Edge is within walking distance to the railway station.
David, 51, a financial systems manager and Jennifer, 55, were delighted to find the abundance of wildlife near their home, which was an unexpected bonus.
Said Jennifer: “I don’t drive so it was important that our new home was close to the bus and train station.
“We bought a three-storey home and I absolutely love it. The stairs keep me fit and the space is really useful.
“I am a member of the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and I have spotted lots of breeds of birds already. In fact, I keep a set of binoculars ready when I hear the Canadian geese flying over the house.”
Sandra Hughes, sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “The Slaters are the first to move in at Lakelands Edge and enjoy the wildlife.
“The development really is appealing to homebuyers who want to live in a very natural setting but close enough to local transport networks.”
Lakelands Edge is a development of two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes set within delightful Wiltshire countryside, with current prices from £207,000 for a three-bedroom Lambourne townhouse with en-suite to master bedroom.
All the amenities of Westbury town centre are close at hand, whilst the historic city of Bath is only 12 miles away.
The Malham three-bedroom townhouse show home is open daily 10am – 5.30pm. Alternatively homebuyers can log on to Redrow.co.uk/developments/view/116.
