Growth and success drives Persimmon relocation

Continued growth and success has driven the need for Persimmon Homes Wessex to move its regional headquarters Riverside Business Village in Malmesbury to new purpose-built offices. Laying its own foundations for the future, Persimmon is currently constructing its new office on Tetbury Hill in Malmesbury, adjacent to the company’s popular Abbey Heights development.

The new premises will offer 12,800 square foot of contemporary office space in delightful landscaped surroundings, designed to accommodate over 60 office based staff whilst also offering ample room for further expansion. It is anticipated that Persimmon will relocate in July 2008.

Commenting on the impending move, Steve Roche, managing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex said: “The Wessex region has grown year on year since it was established in 1982 and it is vital that we have office space which comfortably accommodates our staff whilst also reflecting our ambitions as a company. Substantial growth and record profits over the past few years have provided us with the opportunity to construct purpose built offices providing our staff with a base which is stylish and secure.

“Malmesbury remains the ideal location for us being situated within easy reach of our geographical patch which encompasses Bath, Swindon and wider Wiltshire and also allowing us to remain in the town where the company was first established,” added Steve.

“Many of our staff live in and around the town and staying in Malmesbury was viewed to be the most convenient location for our existing team. Our new office also has the added benefit of being positioned adjacent to one of our residential developments, meaning our visitors will not only be able to see Persimmon build firsthand, but also how the quality of our workmanship transfers to enabling the creation of attractive and sustainable new communities such as Abbey Heights.”
