Following a separation, mum-of-three Shirley Venton and her children, Laura, 15, Scott, 13, and Ollie, eight, moved into a home laid out over three floors at Redrow’s Abbey Manor development in Priory Vale, Swindon.

Shirley, a financial services sales quality support assessor, said: “Having lived in a four-bedroom home we didn’t want to move somewhere smaller and lose all the space we were used to.

“I loved the layout of the house. The children have all still got their own bedroom and we’ve got a great family room as well so they can have their friends round.”

Shirley, 39, opted for a Teign-style home, which has now sold out, but the four-bedroom Bradgate-style house is still available and offers all of the benefits of life spread out over three floors.
