Barratt opens new show home at Swindon Prospective buyers will soon be able to view the attractive Churchill show home at Barratt’s new Thames Reach development off Priory Vale Road in Swindon.

The Churchill, a two-bedroom apartment, offers a double bedroom and a spacious single bedroom with fitted wardrobes in each and a colour co-ordinated bathroom. Two Churchill style homes are currently available at the site. Both ground floor apartments come with a parking space and are priced at £151,500 and £152,500.

Thames Reach located close to Swindon’s modern pedestrianised shopping area, which includes the Brunel Centre, The Parade and The Big Top Market Place (with car parking). There is also a Designer Outlet Village in the old Brunel Works.

A thriving railway town with a well-preserved history, Swindon boasts a variety of leisure facilities including cinemas, clubs, pubs and three leisure centres, as well as museums and the Wyvern Theatre.

There are numerous parks and small villages on the outskirts of the town and, because it lies so close to the M4, Swindon offers easy access to the picturesque city of Bath and to the Cotswolds. Bristol and Oxford are within easy reach and the InterCity service from Swindon station provides a quick route to London Paddington.

Latest availability at Thames Reach includes two and three-bedroom homes with prices ranging from £151,500 and, until the end of December 2007, Barratt is offering amazing deals for first-time buyers.

These include the ‘Dream Start’ scheme, which enables first time purchasers to own a brand new home for just 75 per cent of the asking price, with no deposit necessary. This means that a buyer could move into an apartment at Thames Reach priced at £151,500 for just £113,500.

The offer works by arranging mortgage finance on 75 per cent of the purchase price while the other 25 per cent is covered by Barratt and repayable interest free, either within 10 years or on the resale of the property. Each home is furnished with fitted carpets and kitchen appliances and Barratt even pays the stamp duty and up to £1,000 of legal fees.
