A landmark year in Chippenham Last year was quite a year at Market Quarter in Chippenham by award-winning homebuilder Linden Homes Western. Not only has this stunning eco-excellent development proved that eco-living is good for the environment, but that it can also be stylish, contemporary and appeal to a wide variety of homeowners.

This year is set to be another landmark year for Market Quarter, with the release of the second phase and installation of the innovative eco-features, the development really will provide a Wow factor for customers.

Alison Staddon, Sales and Marketing Director, Linden Homes Western; “The homes at Market Quarter have been phenomenally popular with our customers and I would predict that 2008 will prove that eco developments are the only way forward for a sustainable future.

“Looking for a new home at the beginning of the year can be stressful, especially after the busy Christmas period, which is why we are offering special incentives to make moving to Market Quarter a stress free experience. Our customers can take advantage of Part Exchange*, or by reserving their dream home by the end of February they will receive a free 40inch HD TV*.”

Homes in the first phase were released in the spring and proved so popular that the new residents were already moving in by August 2007. The success of Phase One has Market Quarter starting the New Year on a high.

The coming year will not only see progress on next phases, but also the installation of the more innovative eco- features. Living Walls, grown in France and supplied by one of only a handful of companies in the world, are due on site in the January.

This innovative product is sure to cause quite a stir, with similar benefits to green roofs, the walls minimise dust, insulate and reduce the ambient temperatures by at least 2C on hot summer days, making the homes cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, reducing the need for heating. Each panel is almost 10 metres high and has five different types of native European sedum plants, providing a niche for wildlife and an attractive environment for the residents of Market Quarter to enjoy.

Moving on to Spring 2008, which is when wind turbines are to be delivered, with several discrete units installed to power the communal lights throughout the development.

This groundbreaking scheme of 256 homes has been designed with both the community and environment in mind. Customers looking to start 2008 with a chic, environmentally friendly lifestyle should visit the Show Complex as soon as possible and see this stunning new development for themselves.

There are just 7, three and four bedroom home available in Phase One, priced from £199,995. For Further information visit the website at Lindenhomes.co.uk.
