Pupils from Ridgeway School leave lasting impression

The pupils, who have been working on the project for the last month, were briefed to select the items based on what they believed would best represent themselves and help future generations gain a better understanding of school life in 2008. Amongst the items chosen were letters written by the pupils, a school newsletter and photos.
Sales director for David Wilson Homes Southern, Lynne Morgan, explains: "As a housebuilder we recognise the importance of community and how things can quickly develop over time. We wanted to get involved with the local community to help create a record of what life's like today in the area, in the hope that our efforts will one day prove useful for children of the future.
"We are incredibly pleased to get pupils from the Ridgeway School involved, particularly as the children all live within close proximity to Wainwright Mews. The contents of the capsule were entirely up to the pupils and so we hope that we have managed to leave an accurate and genuine picture of school life today."
Dating back to the times of the Doomsday book, the idealistic village of Wroughton is situated in a picturesque rural setting, just three miles from the historic town of Swindon. The M4 is also close by, providing easy access to both the east and the west.
