Barratt unveils show home at Collingwood

8th September 2008 Print
A stunning new show home and sales office opens at Barratt's new Collingwood development near Salisbury on the weekend of 13th and 14th September.

"The show home, a semi-detached house in the Wylye style, has been decorated to appeal to a young couple with their first child," reports Mark Docherty, Barratt sales director. "The décor is by Andrew Henry Interiors of Bristol and it's very light and contemporary throughout.

"Features include lots of white and silver walls, glass and chrome furniture and striking yellow and black curtain fabrics and accessories. The master bedroom boasts a wrought iron bed and soft, creamy colours and the third bedroom has been decorated as a nursery.

"A visit to this new show home will give buyers a chance to fully appreciate the high standard and quality they can expect from homes at Collingwood," Mark continued.

"The three-bedroom Wylye is an ideal family home and comes with a garden and a garage. The ground floor offers an entrance hall, downstairs cloakroom, kitchen and lounge/dining room and, in addition to the bedrooms, there is an en-suite and a family bathroom on the first floor.

"All homes come with a 10-year NHBC warranty, gas central heating and double glazing throughout," he added.

When complete, Collingwood will offer a gated development of 14 two, three and four-bedroom houses. The site nestles at the end of a quiet lane in the village of Alderbury, where the Green Dragon Inn offers traditional rural hospitality. The village lies within easy reach of The New Forest National Park and the south coast, as well as the ancient world heritage site of Stonehenge.

The nearby city of Salisbury, renowned for its cathedral with the tallest spire in Britain, is just a short drive away via the A36. The city offers a wide range of amenities including a wealth of shops and those who fancy a flutter can visit Salisbury race course, which holds a special Ladies' Day meeting in the summer.

Transport links are also good - with the nearby M27 and M3 motorways offering easy access to Winchester and London or Southampton and Portsmouth. Salisbury station offers regular services into Paddington and Waterloo.
