Barratt hosts cheese and wine evening at Collingwood Barratt will be holding a special Cheese and Wine Evening at its new Collingwood development in Alderbury near Salisbury on Thursday 12th March.

“We thought it would be a good idea to hold a late night opening for people from the local community who work normal office hours,” said Mark Docherty, Barratt sales director.

“In addition to enjoying the refreshments, the visitors will be able to take a look around our new four-bedroom view home. The event will begin at 5 o’clock in the evening, and we hope people will take the opportunity to find out more about this exciting development,” he added.

When complete, Collingwood will offer a small selection of 14 two, three and four- bedroom houses. Prices range from £199,995 to £349,995 and all homes come with carpets throughout.

“We can offer a range of buyer incentives, including part exchange on selected plots for people moving up to a larger property and our Head Start scheme for first-time buyers,” Mark continued.

“Our part exchange offer includes mortgage protection and removes all the uncertainty of being caught in a chain that breaks. Just like trading in your old car when you buy a new model we effectively buy your old home for cash, so you don’t have the worry and cost of selling your property.

“With Head Start, first-time buyers secure a mortgage for 85 per cent of the total property price and Barratt finances the remaining 15 per cent for up to 10 years. It’s a great incentive for people who want to own their own home,” Mark concluded.

Enjoying a rural setting in the village of Alderbury, on the outskirts of the city of Salisbury, Collingwood offers the best of town and country life. Nearby attractions include Stonehenge, Longleat Safari Park and Salisbury racecourse.

Thanks to good road links, the development is within easy reach of the New Forest and the Dorset coast, as well as the cities of Southampton, Winchester, Bath and London.
