A foot on the ladder

Debut 2 @ Buckshaw village, in Euxton near Chorley, has already sold almost half of the homes in its first phase since its launch in January, and with prices as low as £59,995, it’s not difficult to see why.
The popular Debut scheme offers a lifeline to those struggling to get a foot on the property ladder, combining traditional and modern materials to give a contemporary look that’s visually appealing as well as practical. The overall result is a home that first time buyers can aspire to – brand new, contemporary, built to high quality standards and easy to maintain, as well as affordable.
Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) says: “These great homes are designed with style and affordability in mind, so it’s no wonder that they’re selling so well. With house prices going up every minute, first time buyers need all the help they can get to establish themselves, and we’re proud to do that at Debut.
“A massive advantage of Redrow’s Debut homes is that they include measures to reduce the cost of living. Construction based on Surebuild lightweight steel frame, ensures quality, sustainability and energy efficiency, complemented by high performance communal heating and hot water systems.”
Carefully designed, shared outdoor space, maintained by Redrow’s own management company, will include a central garden square, providing community focus with total pedestrian permeability. Cycle stores are incorporated into the layout and waste segregation facilities will enable recycling of household waste.
Among those homes still available is the two storey, one-bedroom Debut 3, an unconventionally styled house which has the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, and bright, spacious open-plan kitchen and living area on the first floor.
Also still available are a selection of two-storey, two-bedroom homes, again with the bedrooms and bathroom at entry level and main living accommodation above. All the properties still available also come with a single parking space. Prices start at £85,495.
The second batch of homes will be released later this year, bringing the total number of Debut homes in this latest development to 106.
Lesley continues: “There is also the option to use the Easi-buy scheme, which allows buyers to defer 10% of the price of their new home for up to 10 years on a fixed sum basis, which can be paid back via occasional lump sums, monthly repayments or in whole at any time. In other words, it’s like an interest free loan.”
Buckshaw Village is a visionary mixed-use scheme set in the heart of Lancashire, between the M6 and M61, near Chorley. Along with the new homes, there is an 80-acre business park, Matrix Park, with further commercial areas planned. There are also proposals for a district shopping centre, provision for a new railway station with park and ride facilities, a primary school, health centre and outdoor sports amenities.
This is Redrow’s second Debut development at Buckshaw Village, following hot on the heels of the first 71 homes, more than half of which sold out during the first weekend of sales with the rest soon following suit.
