Redrow makes Chorley its new destination

6th March 2008 Print
Award winning housebuilder Redrow, is building on its property portfolio in Lancashire and preparing to launch its latest development in Chorley. The new venture, situated on Pilling Lane, will eventually comprise 200 homes on a twenty-five acre site formerly owned by Lex Autologistics.

The property mix will include townhouses, detached and semi-detached dwellings, apartments and larger four-bedroom properties with double garages.

Steve Greenhalgh, land director for Redrow (Lancashire) says: “We are pleased to introduce Redrow’s latest venture in Chorley. Past developments in the area have proved to be a real success and we hope that our extensive range of homes that will make up the Pilling Lane site – soon to be named- will give house hunters a wider choice of properties to eventually call home”

The site will be ready for building in June with the first completion expected late autumn.

Steve continues: “As part of the planning permission we will also be contributing over £2m towards affordable housing onsite with a further contribution of £600,000 for community facilities, which will be spent accordingly by the Chorley Borough Council.”

Redrow also has other homes developments in the area including Hallwood Gardens at Gillibrands Park and the impressive Buckshaw Village, situated off Dawson’s Lane.
