Last chance for first timers in Chorley

15th December 2008 Print
Last chance for first timers in Chorley First time buyers may be going through a tough time but Redrow is looking to get them back on track with its final homes at Debut @ Buckshaw Village, near Chorley, which are available for an initial outlay of just £64,000.

The award-winning developer's affordable venture has already helped many make the leap on to the property ladder and, as a consequence, only three properties now remain.

But there's still an opportunity to snag a breath taking deal as Redrow is now giving buyers at Buckshaw Village the opportunity to own 100% of their new Debut home from day one, but pay only 75% of the purchase price.

This means a two-storey ‘D3' design with double bedroom and bathroom at entry level and open plan living space and kitchen above, can be snapped up for an initial outlay of just £63,745. No deposit is required and the balance of £21,250 is deferred as an interest free sum for up to 10 years.

Also, at a time when household fuel bills are rising, Debut @ Buckshaw Village has another ace up its sleeve. The Debut homes have been designed and built with sustainability in mind, delivering lower fuel bills, less water consumption, and using materials chosen for higher than average recyclability.

Another advantage for the consumer is that they pay a single monthly service charge, which includes the gas and electricity bills, plus water rates, buildings insurance, external maintenance and even the cost of window cleaning, which makes it so much easier for them to budget.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (North) says: "In the current climate of rising living costs, Debut has proved to be a welcome asset for first time buyers desperate for their own home but reluctant to sacrifice every last spare penny.

"The low prices and deferred payment scheme mean young buyers on typical salaries can afford a slice of the action and make their first step on to the ever important property ladder. Also the fact that there is only one bill each month for the main household costs - including gas and electricity - makes budgeting easier and helps smooth the transition from renting or living with parents.

"What's more, traditionally many first time buyers are forced to choose between a nice house in a bad area or a bad house in a nice area but with Debut @ Buckshaw Village, there is no compromise. The well-built stylish properties sit within carefully landscaped communal grounds cared for by a management company and are also near to the local amenities."

The 25% deferred payment scheme is available on the last three ‘D3' homes which are bright and spacious with contemporary open plan living areas.

The Debut development forms part of Buckshaw Village which is located directly between the M6 and M61, at Euxton, near Chorley. The development also features a range of more traditional homes for people at every stage of the property ladder.

There's also a business park and proposals for a district shopping centre, provision for a new railway station with park and ride facilities, a primary school, health centre and outdoor sports amenities.
