Moving up to Millers Green

Russell Prendeville and his fiancé Nicola Pallister have decided that now is a good time to buy and purchased a new home at Miller Homes’ popular Millers Green development in Heysham. They have just moved in and it has taken less than a week to turn their new house into a home.

Russell and Nicola have bought a 3 bedroom ‘Darwin’ house design. Russell says: “We liked the property being detached and what’s even better is it was in our price range. Lots of the internal features also appealed to us, like having access to bedrooms from either side of the stairs and the open-plan kitchen dining area.”

The garden feels very much part of the ‘Darwin’, as it can be easily accessed from French doors in both the lounge and dining area. The large lounge stretches from the front to the back of the property and, with the French doors at the rear and window to the front, is a light, bright space in which to relax. Upstairs, the master bedroom has its own en-suite and there are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom. Prices for the ‘Darwin’ start at £158,950.

Russell and Nicola took advantage of Miller Homes’ part exchange scheme to buy their new home. Russell says: “I had an apartment to sell in Lancaster and part exchanging this was the best option for us. We have found buying with Miller Homes has been straightforward. Jane and Denise in the marketing suite have been great and Harry the Site Manager has been very accommodating.”

Russell and Nicola were also keen to remain in the Lancaster area. Russell says: “We like Heysham and it’s convenient for both of us getting to work. Commuting from my new home to job at local radio station The Bay, at St George’s Quay in Lancaster, will be fine.

Millers Green is within strolling distance of Heysham seafront and historic village centre. The charming village has a range of individual shops, cafes and a 16th century pub, along with services catering for everyday needs.
