Blooming marvellous homes at Arcon Village Life is smelling three times as sweet for home owners at Redrow’s Arcon Village as the venture picks up another Horwich in Bloom award.

Impressive landscaping at this unique conversion of listed buildings to quality new homes has won the Shop and Business category in the Horwich in Bloom competition, run by the local Town Council.

It further cements the development’s reputation for beauty, after it initially won the award in 2007 and was placed second in 2008. The refurbishment of an old 18th century bleachworks also beat off stiff competition earlier this year to scoop first prize in the best residential conversation category in the LABC North West regional Building Excellence.

It’s no surprise then that many Lancashire locals are choosing to call Arcon Village home. In addition to being blessed with many beautiful features, it is also has a rich history.

Lesley Myers, area sales manger for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) says: “It’s great that Redrow is not only recognised for its quality-built homes but also for its contributions to the local community and environment in which we build.

“We are really proud of the development and how well it has been received. There is so much character about the properties and the location means it’s an ideal dwelling for those wanting to live a tranquil lifestyle but who are reluctant to totally let go of the benefits of living near local amenities.”

Arcon Village is a haven of calm, nestled between colourful woodland and rolling green hills. The attractive –old stone industrial buildings have been painstakingly transformed by Redrow.

There are140 apartments, town houses and mews-style cottages in total, which are being restored in accordance with their Grade II listed guidelines. The interiors are also sympathetically designed, taking the area’s history into consideration.

Horwich is a traditional and vibrant town situated five miles north west of Bolton, with its own shops, pubs, restaurants, a market hall and a thriving heritage centre. Situated in the rural setting of the West Pennine Moors, the panoramic views of the town are majestic and it is a haven for ramblers who can enjoy scenic walks and picnic areas in the most beautiful countryside.

Horwich Parkway station offers journey times to Bolton centre of less than 10 minutes and to Manchester Piccadilly in just half-an-hour, opening up a whole playground of shops, bars, restaurants, theatres and exciting nightlife.

Easy access to the M61 makes it the perfect location for commuters working in Bolton, Chorley, Preston, Manchester and beyond.

A selection of homes is currently available, including mews-style two and three-bedroom homes priced from £139,995.
