Tranquil countryside haven awaits

18th March 2007 Print
Savvy home buyers on the look out for an exclusive countryside haven away from the stresses of London will have their prayers answered by developer Redrow’s latest venture in the East Midlands.

The Sycamores at Ailsworth, near Peterborough, will feature a variety of three, four and five-bedroom homes, ranging from terraced, to semi-detached and detached and, thanks to its great road and train links, will be popular with busy commuters and young professionals.

The beautifully set development – which has three boundaries onto open countryside – will open its doors to visitors Saturday 24th March.

Catherine Cloke, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (East Midlands) says: “Ailsworth is a fantastic location. The village, which adjoins Castor, has excellent amenities in a truly picturesque English setting, with the benefit of being readily accessible to Peterborough and even London. It’s a great place to come to to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy city life.

“There’s a real buzz of excitement as we prepare to launch – we’ve been in-undated with enquiries and I can’t wait to see the finished product.

“Redrow is a relatively unfamiliar name in this part of the country but home buyers will quickly come to appreciate our reputation for well designed, quality built homes and the attention to detail that has won us many national and regional awards.”

A fully furnished four-bedroom Milthorpe show home will be available to help buyers picture life at The Sycamores and to see the quality they can expect from Redrow.

Rich gold, ochre, dusky aubergine and bold pewter colours are used to create an autumnal feel, with modern furniture, artwork and light fittings throughout, to create a feeling of homely, classic chic.

This spacious home makes use of a versatile third floor, which in this instance holds two bedrooms and a shower room. The house also has a lounge with French doors to the garden, separate kitchen and dining area, built in wardrobe and en-suite to master bedroom, under stairs storage, a utility room and a further bathroom, bedroom and built in wardrobe.

Homes currently available at The Sycamores include the three-bedroom Euxton, at £249,950 and the four-bedroom Milthorpe at £369,950.

Peterborough can be reached in around 15 minutes and boasts many shops and restaurants, wildlife reserves, cinemas and a museum. The historical city also has its own cathedral – reported to be one of the top ten most photographed landmarks in the UK.

Commuters will be pleased with the development’s great road links with the A1(M) and A47 to Leicester, making it an idea retreat for commuters. Peterborough train station also gives train times of one hour to Leicester and around one hour 15 minutes to Nottingham. There is also a regular service to London, making the journey to King’s Cross within an hour.

For your chance to see what life at The Sycamores would be like, head down to the launch on Saturday 24th March from 10am, on Station Road, Ailsworth, Peterborough. Alternatively, log onto redrow.co.uk.
