The Cambridgeshire market has risen by 15.6% over the last year making this the highest annual rise in prices for some three years, shows research by Bidwells Estate Agents, commissioned by Redeham Homes. The largest rises have been witnessed in towns such as Cambridge in the townhouse sector where prices have risen by 19.3% over the last twelve months. The research shows that during the first part of 2007, prices have continued to gather momentum and there is currently a high demand in Cambridge for new homes, which has been fuelled by a shortage of second hand city stock.

There is a strong demand for good properties in premium locations but supply does remain tight.
