Land acquisition for Persimmon Homes East Midlands
Peterborough-based Persimmon Homes has acquired land in Frognall, Lincolnshire and Littleport in Cambridgeshire with a combined gross development value of more than £34.5 million.One of the UK’s largest housebuilders, Persimmon has launched several new sites during 2006 and these recent acquisitions will help ensure 2007 is just as successful for the company.
A total of 40 properties with a mix of townhouses and traditional homes are due to be built at Frognall, at a site that is expected to occupy more than 2.5 acres. Meanwhile, at Littleport, 159 homes will be constructed with a selection of two, three, four and five bedroom houses on 12 acres of land.
Daryl Kirkland, land director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said: “We are building on the success of our new housing provision in Peterborough and surrounding area, where we aim to satisfy the demand for new housing in the region. We expect work to commence on site in summer this year.”
