Youngsters delight at Yellow Room

2nd October 2007 Print
Great Cambourne The children who attend The Ark pre-school in Great Cambourne are jumping for joy now that the Yellow Room – the room where they take part in their activities – has had a fresh coat of paint, courtesy of the housebuilder Charles Church. Charles Church provided a few labourers and spent two days painting the Yellow Room for the pre-school after being approached by them over the summer.

Karen Howard, Sales Manager for Charles Church North London, says: “We were approached by The Ark during the summer holidays and asked if we could come and paint one of the rooms there. We were more than happy to supply some Charles Church labourers for a couple of days, and they really enjoyed giving something back to the community. “

Around 20 youngsters aged between two and four-and-a-half attend sessions at The Ark pre-school. The room is also used by several community groups. Jane Millar, a fundraiser for the school, comments: “The Yellow room gets painted every two years and it was really getting dirty. It now looks lovely and clean and the children are really pleased with their newly painted room!”

Charles Church is currently offering a selection of one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes at Stapleford Park in Great Cambourne. Great Cambourne is a vibrant, self-contained community which has its own shops, schools, churches and pubs.
