With Persimmon, its deal or deal With the constant UK economy ‘doom and gloom’ reports, previously eager househunters in the East Midlands region are forgiven for being more than cautious when choosing the right time to buy a new home.

With this in mind, Persimmon Homes East Midlands has announced a number of enticing incentives at its Mansio Place development in Godmanchester, which are designed to help would-be purchasers get on the move.

“At Persimmon, we don’t believe the ‘credit crunch’ should hinder those wanting to buy a new home, which is why our competitively priced properties at Mansio Place are on the market with a number of incentives to make the buying process as affordable and stress free during the current economic conditions,” states Steve Matthews, sales director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands.

“Mansio Place quickly became one of our most successful sites in 2008, since its launch we expected to sell around three or four for the year end, but we actually sold eight of the properties.”

Currently on offer at the development is a number of two, three, four, five and six bedroom homes, which are appealing to a variety of visitors to site including first time buyers, young couples growing and established families and executives. Prices at the development start from £149,995 for a two bedroom design.

Steve continues: “Our plot specific tailor made incentives include part exchange for those with homes to sell, five per cent deposit paid, £1,000 towards legal fees and carpets throughout, making the buying process that much simpler and cost effective.

“We’re also trialling a new initiative in the region ‘Make us an Offer’ where we’re inviting interested parties to choose the home of their dreams and come to us with a reasonable price they’re happy to pay for the property, meaning there really isn’t a better time to buy at our select development.”

Further to the unbeatable prices and deals available, purchasers at Mansio Place will benefit from all the everyday amenities in Godmanchester, whilst maintaining its pretty village atmosphere. Nearby Huntingdon also provides a range of shops, supermarkets, schools and colleges.

The A14 links the town with the Midlands to the west and Cambridge to the east, while the A1 provides easy access to the north and south. Kings Cross station is just an hour by rail, meaning Godmanchester is an ideal location for commuters.
