Couple sniff out the best new homes in Oxfordshire Civil Servants Lesley Jane Kerry, her husband Daryl and 11 month old border terrier Scarlet have recently moved into their brand new home at Bellway’s Meadow View development in Ambrosden, after selling their old home through Bellway’s Part Exchange scheme.

With terrier-like precision that no doubt made Scarlet proud, they sniffed out one of the best new homes developments in Oxfordshire. The couple were delighted with the stress-free service, which enabled them to reserve their new home while Bellway took care of everything involved with selling their existing property.

“We were so pleased with the process, it was really straight forward. We got everything done in just two months; from reserving to moving in.” said Lesley commenting on the process.

Lesley and Daryl both work in Bicester and found that the daily commute from Towcester was beginning to take its toll. The once 30 minute journey had crept up to an hour each way and the couple were looking to move nearer to the office.

Lesley said: “Ambrosden is great location for us, not has our commute to work been reduced to a 9 minute journey, but there are also plenty of open spaces nearby for walking with Scarlett.”

The Kerry’s weren’t specifically looking for a new-build home, but Meadow View caught their eye as they frequently drove passed the development to pick up and drop off their touring caravan at their nearby storage facility.

“We often saw the site and decided to pop in. We were very impressed with the build quality of the show home and the service provided by the staff on site. Both factors were instrumental in our decision to purchase.”

Chris Edginton, Sales Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “Part exchange takes the stress and hassle out of the home buying process, as, subject to valuation, buyers who use the scheme receive a guaranteed offer within 7 days and contracts can be exchanged quickly. As the service is free and as there are no estate agents or HIPS fees to pay, saving buyers a significant amount of money that could be spent on furnishings for their new home.”

Chris Edginton continued: “The combination of quality, well designed homes and their proximity to excellent local amenities has ensured a high level of interest in homes at Meadow View. With our part exchange offerings we are making it even easier for people to own their dream home.”

With green open space surrounding it, Ambrosden is also just 3 miles from Bicester, and is an appealing village that includes a church and village hall, a pub, post office and general store. There are several primary schools within the area, including Five Acres school in Ambrosden, and for secondary school children, The Cooper school in Bicester.

Meadow view boasts excellent road links, the M40 is nearby, and rail links run from Bicester Town station to Oxford while Bicester North has regular services to Birmingham and the London.
