Persimmon supports community in Cumnor

Sharon Eldred, sales manager for Persimmon Homes Thames Valley, explains: “At Cumnor we have allocated a sizable amount of funding to support the Vale of White Horse District Council and Oxfordshire County Council with their plans for the area.”
Persimmon Homes has announced that over £830,000 will be provided for a number of agreed projects including the creation of a local piece of art, which will be displayed at the development. The company will also be contributing to the provision of a local sports pitch, improvements to the local library and a sum towards local primary and secondary education.
In addition to this, the homebuilder will be making contributions towards fire and rescue facilities as well as providing finances to support the need for additional infrastructure including additional bus shelters, pedestrian crossings and a new cycle route to further improve the link to Oxford’s town centre.
Sharon adds: “We take our role in the local communities we build within extremely seriously, which is why we were so keen to support a number of projects and improvements in and around our site in Cumnor.
She concludes: “Since our launch in April, we’ve received an influx of interest from househunters all looking to secure their own dream home. On our open day alone we saw no less than 100 visitors, which is testament to the quality and range of homes we have to offer at Cumnor Ridge.”
