Watching over The Hermitage

19th July 2007 Print
Watching over The Hermitage Residents at The Hermitage in Sadlers Walk, Emsworth, have banded together with the local police to form a neighbourhood watch scheme to look after heir homes. The scheme was partly founded by Developer KingsOak, who have now changed their name to David Wilson Homes following their recent acquisition of that company.

The idea of the neighbourhood watch is to look after not only the property at The Hermitage but also keep an eye out for each other and ensure that the area continues to be a safe and pleasant place in which to live.

Set up in co-ordination with Chichester Crime Prevention, there will be two neighbourhood watch wardens on site, Gerry Horrobin and Mrs Francis Tyrell, with a third warden to be appointed in due course.

Commenting on the scheme, David Wilson Homes Southampton Sales Director Mark Docherty commented:

“I am pleased to help with what is an admirable scheme and will only add to what is already an outstanding development to live in.

“I wish them every success and am delighted to see such a spirit of pride amongst the residents.”
