Easy commuting with a country setting

Oliver and Emily were renting an apartment in Basingstoke close to the station and were keen to find a home that would be equally convenient for commuting. They were driving around the area when they came across Farriers Walk, Berkeley Homes’ delightful small development in the Hampshire village of Micheldever.
“We knew straight away that Farriers Walk would be perfect for us,” says Oliver, “Everything felt right. The price is very good and the specification is exactly what we were looking for. There’s a station literally across the road and trains only take about 55 minutes to London Waterloo and around 40 minutes to Southampton.”
In fact, the couple was so confident of their choice that they returned the following weekend to reserve a three-bedroom town house. Oliver and Emily have now exchanged contracts and are looking forward to moving into their new home in the early autumn.
The exclusive Farriers Walk development is set in beautifully landscaped grounds in a lovely country location with views over open fields. There is a wide mix of traditionally designed homes, ranging from two-bedroom apartments to two, three and four-bedroom houses.
“We love the design of the development and the way that the homes blend in with the local area,” says Emily, adding: “and no two houses look the same, so it makes our home feel really original.”
Oliver and Emily’s new home is built to the very high specification associated with Berkeley Homes. “Our friends and family are highly impressed with the finish of the houses here,” comments Emily, “They think they’re very high quality and extremely well put together.”
The rooms in their new home are a generous size and Oliver and Emily love the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, which gives them plenty of room for entertaining family and friends. With three bedrooms and a main bathroom, in addition to their own en-suite bathroom, overnight visitors will not be a problem. The kitchen is very well equipped with every appliance, including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine to make their busy lives easier.
Micheldever is a pretty village with a small selection of shops. The lovely countryside and woodlands surrounding the village are perfect for walking or cycling at weekends.
For shopping and entertainment, Oliver and Emily have plenty of choice. Winchester and Basingstoke, with its huge Festival Place shopping and leisure centre, are both a short drive away, or take just 10 minutes by train.
For road travel, the nearby A303 links to the M3 in around 15 minutes and trips abroad are easy, with Southampton Airport just 18 miles away.
Phase one at Farriers Walk has now been sold; Phase two will launch from a brand new four-bedroom show house on Saturday, 8th September. Prices start at £249,995 for a fantastic two-bedroom house with two en-suite bathroom/shower rooms, and range up to £499,995 for a large four-bedroom, detached house.
