Buyers flock to contemporary apartments in Southampton

9th November 2007 Print
Orchard Homes, one of the south coast’s leading house builders, has announced that only four properties are still available at its contemporary development of two bedroom apartments in Winchester Road, Southampton.

Following a successful launch, buyers rushed to secure homes on this outstanding development, with ten apartments immediately reserved off plan. Goadsby has been instructed on the last four, which are predicted to sell quickly.

Orchard Homes sales director Spencer Drake said: “This site has been incredibly popular, so I would advise any potential buyers to move quickly to buy a home here. Offering luxury accommodation in an excellent location, it’s not surprising that more than half of the properties on this development have already gone.

“Each apartment offers everything required from a modern home, including a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, spacious living/dining area, en suite bathroom to the master bedroom and parking. Winchester Road is perfectly placed for easy access to towns and cities on the south coast and Southampton train station is nearby with direct routes to London Waterloo, Bournemouth and Reading.”

Southampton prides itself on being one of the UK’s top shopping destinations, with several modern shopping malls within the centre. The city also has a rich mix of bistros and restaurants catering for the most diverse tastes, while the many bars and clubs keep things lively after dark. Southampton is also blessed with some of the south coast’s finest theatres, art galleries and museums, as well as the Guildhall where live music and acts perform throughout the year.

Alongside the Avenue is the Common, which boasts 326 acres of grass, trees and lakes – the perfect place for a walk or bike ride. If you want to go further afield, The New Forest lies to the west of Southampton, offering picturesque villages and woods, while historic Portsmouth is to the east. Ferries leave from Southampton to the Isle of Wight and the city’s busy coach station and international airport connects travellers with the rest of the country and much of Europe.
