First residents move into Farriers Walk at Micheldever High levels of interest in a select new development from Berkeley Homes in Hampshire is now being translated into the first buyers moving into Farriers Walk in Micheldever. Jolene Bull from Knight Frank said that interest was high from the moment the development of 30 exclusive homes was launched.

“Sales success here is down to the quality of the homes and the great location, testament to Berkeley’s commitment to providing high quality apartments and houses to meet demand in the region,’’ she said.

The first occupants include Amy and Matthew Patterson, a young professional couple. “We moved from a two up, two down property in the centre of Winchester and our new four-bedroom town house is absolutely lovely,” reports Amy (28), a National Account Manager with an international company.

“There’s a fantastic amount of space in the house and all the homes here have a drive and carport or garage – that’s a real bonus as it was permit parking only at our last house in Winchester. “Here we’re next to open countryside, so it really is a wonderful location, especially as we’re starting a family.”

The town house purchased by Amy and Matthew Patterson boasts a large kitchen, spacious lounge, separate dining room, three bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom. It is ideally located for commuters because Farriers Walk lies just a four-minute walk from Micheldever Station, which offers a 56-minute train journey to London.

“This development has attracted a lot of younger commuters because it’s so convenient for rail travel – my husband Matthew (30) is a Client Relationship Manager for an investment bank in London and he commutes daily,” Amy continued. “It’s the ideal retreat after a week in the office, as we have a lovely local pub which has just been refurbished and it’s only two miles to the village where there’s a store, primary school and church.”

Amy is particularly impressed with the service she has received from Berkeley Homes and selling agent, Knight Frank. “The sales staff are lovely and the after sales support has been fantastic – it’s been the easiest moving process in the world.”

Farriers Walk offers a range of two, three and four bedroom homes priced from £235,000 to £500,000 and a new four-bedroom show home is now open. A new apartment block will be released before Christmas.

The homes are all of a traditional design with warm red brickwork and timber panelling while inside the emphasis is on creating spacious rooms and a high specification. Features include individually designed kitchens, quality bathrooms with Villeroy & Boch suites, smoke detectors and double glazing. Buyers can also personalise their own home with the Berkeley Homes options service.
