See your new Basingstoke home in black and white

See your new Basingstoke home in black and white This weekend – 16-17 February – see the world, or at least your potential new home, in black and white. Award winning house-builder Bellway will launch its Skippetts Gardens development in Basingstoke with a stunning black and white themed show-house. And there’s something rather special for visitors to the scheme who support the theme, as well as a donation to a local charity.

For everyone who comes wearing Black & White during the two-day launch event, Bellway will donate £5 to the homeless charity CRASH and stand a chance of winning the daily prize of a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates.

To enter the prize draw all you have to do is pick your outfit to match the show-house and then spot the only colourful item in the house. Every aspect of the stylish décor is in mono, so eyeing up that one colourful item will be easy. Then all you have to do is note your name and contact details, what the item is and you could be a lucky winner. There’s a prize on each of the two days and winners will be notified and asked to return to claim their bubbly and chocolates.

But the real ‘prizes’ go to the lucky buyers of the homes themselves. Buying into this new scheme of 112 stylishly designed one and two bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom houses gives you the best of all worlds: a quiet location but within easy reach of all the amenities of Basingstoke town centre.

Sandra Barton, Sales Director at Bellway Wessex, said: “Skippetts Gardens is set in a quiet location, backing onto woodland and positioned next door the Skippetts House. The development is very desirable with a wide range of house styles suit everyone. Two bedroom apartments are priced from just £169,950 rising to £289,950 for a spacious four bedroom three-storey town house.”

Central Basingstoke has shops galore for discerning followers of fashion – including those black and white outfits. There’s also a weekly farmers market full of products from local growers as well as a numerous big name supermarkets.

Shopping isn’t the only thing that Basingstoke has to offer: The Anvil is a renowned live music venue and in addition there is the town's Haymarket Theatre, two cinemas and numerous bars, restaurants and night clubs.

There is also a sports centre, Eastrop Park with a number of outdoor facilities, golf courses and the Basingstoke canal, perfect to walks.

At Skippetts Gardens you could not be better connected with the M3 nearby linking to London, Southampton and the South Coast, while the A33 leads to the M4. Trains from Basingstoke station offer direct services into London Waterloo and Paddington with journey times under 1 hour.
