Sense of community at Staunton Place

29th February 2008 Print
Sense of community at Staunton Place Now in the second phase of construction, Barratt’s Staunton Place development in the busy market town of Havant offers a real sense of community.

“The layout has been designed to create a vibrant ‘community within a community’ and there’s an exceptional amount of green open space,” said Catherine Ferguson, Barratt sales director.

“Communal gardens run the full length of the site and these feature specially commissioned sculptures and seating areas.

“We’ve been working closely with Havant Borough Council on the regeneration of this area and we are very proud of Staunton Place,” she continued. “It’s a popular development and we expect the homes in our second phase to be snapped up quickly. There’s something for everyone here, from first-time buyers to families and the retired.”

When complete, Staunton Place will offer 270 one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses. Current availability includes one-bedroom studio apartments (priced from £89,995), two-bedroom apartments (from £139,995), three-bedroom houses (from £219,995) and four-bedroom homes (from £254,995).

“We can offer a number of buyer incentives,” Catherine added. “These include special deals for first-time buyers and part-exchange packages for people moving to larger homes.”

Havant is known for its strong sense of community, with the borough council hosting a wide selection of events throughout the year, and the street market comes to town every Tuesday and Saturday.

Commuting is particularly easy as there are excellent road and rail links to the nearby towns of Chichester and Portsmouth. The south coast, the stunning New Forest National Park and the Isle of Wight are also close by, offering a variety of leisure pursuits for individuals and families alike.
