An early step onto the property ladder in Lymington

14th March 2008 Print
Recognising the importance of helping children onto the property ladder, Mr and Mrs Bertin have purchased, in partnership with their 19 year old son Michael, a three bedroom detached home at Linden Homes' Royal Quarter development in Lymington.

“I’d heard good reports of Linden’s build quality, and was attracted by what must be the last development of detached houses to be built in Lymington close to the old town centre,” said Ben Bertin. As well as being a sound investment, he liked the location, just a few minutes level walk from Lymington High Street with its excellent Saturday market and good range of shops, bars, and restaurants. It is also convenient for local sports facilities and the marinas.

Royal Quarter comprises a mix of traditional three and four bedroom detached houses in a variety of styles. “While they are essentially family homes, beautifully designed for modern living and entertaining, they appeal to discerning couples and singles as well,” said sales advisor Ellen Bowditch.

There are two, three bedroom house types at Royal Quarter, the Maple, and the Chestnut, which offers a combined kitchen/dining room and separate utility room. Double doors link the living room and the dining area, while a further pair of double doors gives access to the garden. A cloakroom and the integral garage complete the ground floor,

Upstairs a light and airy master bedroom with its dressing area and ensuite run the full depth of the Chestnut from front to back. The second bedroom is a good sized double and the third bedroom would suit a youngster or use as a study. The bathroom and ensuite feature top of the range ROCA sanitary ware, white tiling and ceramic floor tiles, like all cloakrooms, bath and shower rooms throughout Royal Quarter.

The Willow is the only four bedroom home with a separate dining/ family room. The spacious downstairs layout comprises a well-proportioned living room at the front, cloakroom, integral garage, kitchen/breakfast room, and utility room, plus a double glazed conservatory.

Upstairs the Willow offers an impressive master bedroom at the front of the house, with ensuite shower room and built-in wardrobe. A second ensuite bedroom with a built-in wardrobe at the back of the house is a considerable asset for families with an adult son or daughter still at home. There are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The Hawthorn is another spacious family home, but with a downstairs study, separate garage and an open plan kitchen/dining/family area running right across the back of the house and overlooking the garden. Double doors open to the conservatory. Like all four bedroom homes at Royal Quarter the Hawthorn has granite work tops and up-stands in the kitchen. The Hawthorn has four good sized bedrooms, an ensuite shower room to the master bedroom and a family bathroom.

The Earlswood is a slightly smaller four bedroom home with an integral garage. The living room is accessed from both the hall and the dining area; and the kitchen is highly specified with an extensive range of built-in appliances. A conservatory, utility room and cloakroom complete the ground floor.

Show homes and the Sales and Marketing suite are open daily 10am - 5pm and Fridays 10am - 4pm. Prices range from £349,950 – £569,950. For more information visit Lindenhomes.co.uk.
