Come home to the Water's Edge

Come home to the Water's Edge A New £80 million apartments venture is coming soon to a sought-after waterside location in Lymington on the south coast. Situated on the river front in the charming Georgian market town, and close to the scenic beauty of the New Forest National Park, this popular Hampshire sailing resort is one of the area's most desirable places to live and a notorious property hot spot.

Redrow Homes is building a stunning new development of 308 stylish one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, appropriately named Lymington Shores, off Bridge Road.

With such a prime position, the majority of apartments will enjoy striking views over Lymington River, and many will have terraces or ‘Juliet' balconies. The design of the properties will be traditional and sympathetic to other residential developments in the area.

Barry Stiles, sales director of Redrow Homes (Southern), says: "Lymington is an area where property prices have significantly exceeded the national average house price growth. There is a dynamic local economy and housing market with a large number of people aspiring to live here. Our development is set to meet a demand from a mix of local people, downsizers, holiday home owners, retirees and people generally escaping the London ‘rat race'.

"It will be a fantastic development in a very beautiful location."

The first homes are due to go on sale in the autumn and, as well as 205 private sale apartments, the scheme will include 55 shared-ownership properties, 10 live-work units, 38 affordable rented units, and units for use as a restaurant and retail outlets. There will be plentiful underground parking facilities.

Residents will be able to enjoy Lymington's lively café culture and great selection of shops, including a large number of independent stores, all within easy walking distance of the new development.

The beaches along the stretch of coast from Calshot to Bournemouth are all within easy reach, and offer a range of lively watersports or the perfect place to while away lazy summer days.

The vibrant atmosphere of Lymington is enhanced in the summer months with the arrival of yachtsmen and tourists who make the delightful marina their chosen destination.

The town benefits from great schooling provision and local transport links. Lymington Town Train Station is just a short walk away, with links to Bournemouth, Southampton and London Waterloo via Brockenhurst. For those with farther flung destinations in mind, Bournemouth International Airport is approximately 18 miles away and Southampton Airport is within approximately 23 miles.
