Barratt graduates complete the island for Rose Road

Barratt graduates complete the island for Rose Road Three locals from Barratt's graduate development programme braved blisters and torrential rain to complete a 67-mile charity walk around the Isle of Wight to raise funds for the Rose Road Association in Southampton.

The three graduates - Liz Rogers (21), Holly Dinnage (22) and Peter Drury (22), all studied at Portsmouth University before embarking on the developer's graduate training scheme. They are now gaining practical experience at Barratt sites in the area.

Liz, who is currently based at Barratt's successful Twyford Square development in Eastleigh, said: "We're thrilled to have raised over £2,000 for the Rose Road Association as part of our voluntary work.

"We trained very hard to prepare for the walk but with the weight of our camping gear as well, it was made very tough and that affected our walking speed.

"The money raised will go towards the association's ‘Change My Life Appeal'," Liz continued. "The target figure of £300,000 will give the young people the special opportunities they deserve.

"We've had lots of support from Barratt Group directors and staff, and anyone who would like to sponsor us can find out more on the website: justgiving.co.uk\bdw."

Barratt sales director Catherine Ferguson said: "Barratt is committed to supporting local communities, particularly as we have a number of developments in the Southampton area and on the Isle of Wight. We are glad Liz, Holly and Peter successfully completed the walk for such a good cause."

Twyford Square in Eastleigh, a unique development of 161 one and two-bedroom apartments, is an ideal location for first-time buyers and young professionals. Prices range from £175,995 to £191,995 and you can move in for just £99. With 50 per cent already sold at Twyford Square, don't miss out!
