Save on stamp duty at Skyline Plaza in Basingstoke

18th September 2008 Print
Just four apartments remain for sale at The Heights - the first phase of homes at Skyline Plaza, the stunning new development in the heart of Basingstoke by Berkeley Homes Southern.

The recent change in stamp duty thresholds now means that all four of these properties - a studio, a one-bedroom apartment and two, two-bedroom apartments - are now exempt from stamp duty. The studio apartment offers even greater value; Berkeley Homes is including all carpets, fittings and furniture within the price of just £107,500. The remaining one-bedroom apartment is priced at £145,000, with two, two-bedroom apartments priced at £175,000.

Skyline Plaza provides great opportunities for investors, who have been swift to recognise its potential. The smart contemporary architecture, high quality build and proximity to the town centre and station have resulted in tenants specifically requesting Skyline Plaza, according to local lettings agents Romans. Rental yields are high, investors are currently receiving returns between six and seven per cent.

Skyline Plaza is a high quality residential complex of 225 private apartments, ranging from studios and ‘Manhattan' suites, through one and two-bedroom apartments to duplex penthouses with glorious views from the higher floors. A concierge service, launderette and crèche are planned for the development.

Transport links are excellent. Basingstoke Station, a short walk away, has regular trains to London Waterloo in around 44 minutes. The M3, at the edge of the town, provides easy road access to London, Southampton and Portsmouth.
