Pastures new in Corhampton For those who need to downsize as their family has flown the nest, choosing a home that fits the bill is imperative. One of the major issues downsizers face is a compromise on space but the homes at Antler's Meon Grange development in Corhampton offer purchasers the chance to live in a superior dwelling without having to worry about lack of space.

Meon Grange is a delightful development offering a range of two and three bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes and also one bedroom coach houses. Among the buyers on the site are Philip Butler and his wife Chrissie.

Philip and his wife planned to move to Meon Grange after deciding their existing home in Swanmore was too large for just the two of them, as Philip explains: "After our children had moved out we decided to make the move to a smaller home, however, we didn't want to compromise on quality or location and the homes at Meon Grange ticked all the boxes."

Philip and Chrissie were impressed with the bespoke designs of the homes at Meon Grange and in particular the handsome elevations. "It was very important to us that our new home still retained characteristic features and we didn't want to move to a large development where all of the houses were the same. After visiting Meon Grange we knew instantly that it was the place for us, the external look and style of the homes were similar to that of the existing period architecture in the village and the select number of properties ensured it retained its charm," enthuses Philip. All of the homes at Meon Grange are sympathetic to the surrounding period homes and cottages and every effort has been taken so the designs harmonise with the picturesque environment.

The carefully designed exteriors are further complemented by the modern interiors that lay within each home. As purchasers have come to expect from Antler Homes, specification is second to none, as Philip comments: "The fixtures and fittings in our new home are extremely high quality and we have everything we could wish for in a modern home. We have the best of both worlds with a traditionally designed exterior and all the benefits of a modern interior."

Phillip and Chrissie decided to purchase the showhome at the development which is a three bedroom semi-detached property that benefits from an integrated garage and beautiful dormer windows. "We decided upon the three bedroom home as we felt it still offered us generous accommodation and we didn't have to compromise on space," said Philip.

After moving from a small village, Philip and Chrissie didn't want to move to an area dominated by commercial activity therefore the charming village of Corhampton provided the perfect place, as Philip explains: "We really enjoy the countryside and didn't want to move to a place that was too built up. After visiting Corhampton we decided that the village offered everything we needed and the bus service is extremely helpful as my wife uses it on a daily basis."

Philip and Chrissie are now settled into their new home and have been very impressed with the service received by Antler Homes. "Antler made our move very enjoyable, the customer service was first class," said Philip.

Prices at Meon Grange start from £250,000. For further information, log on to Antlerhomes.co.uk.
