Barratt’s Meadowbrook bucks the trend Barratt’s Meadowbrook development is bucking the economic trend with no sign of sales slowing at the Four Marks development in Hampshire.

The country location and vast array of house designs are the winning factors with the broad range of buyers at the development which now has just four homes of the current phase available.

“Sales of our first phase of homes at Meadowbrook have just been non-stop and we are now releasing the next phase to cope with demand,” said Barratt sales director, Mark Docherty.

The new phase will comprise of two bedroom coach houses, two bedroom houses and four bedroom homes.

“The new two bedroom coach houses start at just £171,995 and we are also offering our Dream Start scheme which means buyers only need to secure a mortgage for 75 per cent of the asking price with Barratt financing the remaining 25 per cent. This brings the price down to an incredibly affordable £128,996.

“Part exchange is also available for buyers moving up to a larger property,” Mark continued. “This package is specially designed to make a move as stress free as possible. It removes all the uncertainty, because Barratt is a guaranteed cash buyer - so there is no chain, no last-minute price haggling and no hidden costs - and we also cover the cost of HIPs.”

Although enjoying a village location, Meadowbrook is ideally situated for commuting with the cities of Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton within easy reach, and the M3 offers a direct route to London and the south west.

Four Marks offers a number of amenities – including nurseries, a church, post office, pub, restaurant and several shops. The nearby picturesque town of Alton was once home to one of England’s best loved writers, Jane Austen.
