House swaps solve sellers’ dilemma

House swaps solve sellers’ dilemma Home-owners can swap their current property for a brand new home in Bramley village, and make a hassle-free move without getting caught in the property chain.

A selection of spacious new-build houses at George Wimpey West London’s well-appointed Bramley Green development in Hampshire have been made available to purchase in part-exchange for an existing property.

Tim Betts, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey, explains: “Our part-exchange scheme at Bramley Green means that people can come along and choose a new home while we arrange a valuation of their current property and agree a price.

“We then purchase their existing property from them, removing the need for the customer to pay estate agency fees, or wait until they find a buyer.

“It’s a simple way of freeing yourself from the property chain and means people can move in as little as a couple of weeks.”

Part-exchange customers can currently choose from a range of five-bedroom homes at the development, with prices ranging from £424,995 to £449,995.

The ‘Mahogany’, for example, is a magnificent family-sized home featuring traditional, double-fronted architecture and comprising a spacious kitchen with breakfast area and utility room, a large living room with French doors to the rear garden, a separate dining room and a study.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom, two further bedrooms benefiting from access to an en-suite shower room, and a main bathroom.

The top floor of this superior property offers two more double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.

Outside there is a garage and a private rear garden, while like all new homes at the development, the ‘Mahogany’ is finished to a high standard specification with central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen complete with oven, hob and hood.

A range of showhomes are open to visitors at Bramley Green, helping customers considering part-exchanging their property get a feel for what life would be like in their brand new home.

Also available at the development are a range of three and four-bedroom homes prices start from just £199,995 to £299,995.

As an alternative to the part-exchange scheme, George Wimpey’s easymover programme provides incentives for first time buyers, while customers with a property to sell can reserve their new home and then sit back and relax while the house-builder helps to find a buyer.

Incentives can be tailored to homebuyers’ circumstances and are subject to availability. Further details are available from the Sales Executive.

Perfectly positioned in the village of Bramley, the 49 new homes which comprise the Bramley Green development are within easy reach of a choice of traditional shops and amenities, including a general store, a pub, a baker’s, a parish church and a primary school.

Bramley Station is just a short walk away and provides regular services to Reading and Basingstoke, where fast and frequent connecting trains can be caught into London. The M3 and M4 are a few minutes’ drive.

For leisure, the village is surrounded by beautiful open countryside, with a local golf course, a gym, riding schools and a swimming pool nearby.

The Sales Information Centre, located off German Road, Bramley, is open every day from 10.30am to 5.30pm. For more information, visit Georgewimpey.co.uk/.
