A trip to Venice for Augusta Park resident Lucky Gwendoline Lynes has won a fabulous weekend trip for two to Venice after winning a special competition to mark the launch of the Augusta Park development in Andover.

Leading house-builders George Wimpey and Bryant Homes teamed up offer the prize as part of a fun themed Roman Day at the development, which also saw the opening of their stunning showhomes to visitors.

Gwendoline, who came to Augusta Park from Devon to look around with her oldest daughter, Anoushka (31), said: “I never win anything and so I was delighted to hear that I had won the Venice break.

“I had popped over to the development with Anoushka, who lives in Andover, and decided to enter the competition. Anoushka is getting married in August, and will be accompanying me on the trip after the wedding.”

Augusta Park will comprise a wide range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, as well as five and six-bedroom properties. The George Wimpey and Bryant Homes showhomes at the development are now open seven days a week.

Visitors can also discover a range of incentives to help them make their move whatever their circumstances, including assistance for first-time buyers, and the opportunity to reserve a home while the house-builders find a purchaser for their current property, and pay their estate agency fees.

Augusta Park enjoys a prime position to the north of Andover town centre, bordering the beautiful Hampshire countryside.

A new primary school, community centre, sports hall and playing fields are to be constructed alongside the homes, as well as employment areas which may include new local shops and leisure amenities.

The development area is also home to mature trees, which are being incorporated into the landscape to form small parks and green spaces dotted between the homes.

Currently, a range of shops including a supermarket are within easy reach of the development, a choice of primary schools are located within half a mile, while a good choice of secondary and further education can be found in Andover.
