Home birth makes baby Seb a star at Bramley Green

Thankfully the 32-year-old nursery nurse and husband, Wayne, found the home of their dreams ahead of schedule at George Wimpey’s Bramley Green development, making little Sebastian Clayden the first newborn ‘Bramley baby.’
Sebastian bounced into the world in June, just a few weeks after his parents moved into their new four-bedroom detached home. It completed a whirlwind 10 months for the family, who had relocated to the area with Wayne's job as a retail manager for Tesco.
Says Kerry: "When we moved from Bournemouth we rented a three-storey home and we really liked the layout, so we decided we would buy one ourselves.
"We had planned to buy a property anyway, but when I found out I was pregnant it focused our attention.
"What attracted us to the ‘Hunter’ was the fantastic light and space in the home – and the fact that the kitchen and living/dining room were on the ground floor, with all the bedrooms above.
"We felt that some three-storey homes with the living space on the middle floor can be a bit impractical with a young family, so the ‘Hunter’ suited us perfectly. It's a fantastic layout and has given us everything we need."
With a baby on the way, the excited Claydens also wanted to find a new home in a family-friendly location and one that would enable them to move straight in, with no DIY worries.
Adds Kerry: "We loved the idea of buying a new home that required no work whatsoever, and the finish on the homes at Bramley Green was exceptionally good.
"The development is also in a great spot, on the outskirts of a village but close enough to larger towns like Basingstoke and Reading for when we need them.
"We had sold our old home in Bournemouth so with the help of the George Wimpey staff, who were excellent, once we'd put down our deposit we were able to move quite quickly.
"Sebastian came a couple of days early, but there was never any danger of us not being ready!
"I had always wanted a home birth because I believe the surroundings are more relaxing and less pressurised than being in a hospital, so I was delighted everything went to plan and that Sebastian was born in our own brand new home."
