Flying Blue Golf Club welcomes first member

25th July 2007 Print
Air France KLM formally welcomed the first “Hole in One” member of the Flying Blue Golf Club last week at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk aan Zee, The Netherlands.

The Flying Blue Golf Club is an online community, offering golfers numerous benefits and services related to golf and traveling. Members are also given an opportunity to meet one another and exchange tips and information worldwide.

The new FB Golf Club ties in with the initiative to intensify customer contact through creating communities. In so doing, loyalty between Air France KLM and the customer can be intensified at a point in time when the customer is not traveling with Air France or KLM.

Mr. Y. Ospanov from The Hague, who was welcomed yesterday evening at Huis ter Duin as the first member, received an exclusive gift package including VIP entry tickets to the KLM Open and a special three-night stay at Huis ter Duin during the tournament, compliments of the Flying Blue Golf Club and Huis ter Duin.

“The FB Golf Club is a logical step because studies show that loads of Flying Blue members across the world are enthusiastic golfers,” said Flying Blue’s Strategic Partner manager José Visser, who also sounded the official start signal for FB Golf Club Hole in One membership.

“Golfers generally travel extensively for business and pleasure, and KLM has for many years positioned itself prominently with the sport and golfing enthusiasts during the KLM Open and other golfing events. Air France too is involved in several golf events, including the Evian Masters”.
