Sales success for new phase at Buckshaw Village

Sales success for new phase at Buckshaw Village With 16 homes already sold in Redrow’s latest phase at Buckshaw Village, near Chorley, the development’s appeal is proving to be as strong as ever.

The award-winning housebuilder has only just released the new homes within its ‘Park Avenue’ phase but has already made 16 ‘off-plan’ sales for homes still under construction, with more expected soon as savvy homebuyers look to snap up the best plots quickly.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “With such a high profile location in the village, just off Central Avenue, it’s no surprise that Park Avenue @ Buckshaw Village is already so popular.

“For buyers who choose to reserve early there’s the added bonus of having a greater choice when selecting their new home in terms of location within the scheme and house type - they can literally take their pick of the best plots.

“Reserving a home ‘off plan’, before it has even been built, also means customers can select many of the individual interior design aspects of their new home; including kitchen units and work surfaces, fitted bedroom furniture, fireplaces and many more.”

A move now could also make financial sense to those who have been keeping an eye on house price trends of late.

A recent survey by Nationwide found that house prices rose for the fourth consecutive month in August, up 1.6% on the previous month, indicating that the window of opportunity to pick up the best buys in popular areas could be closing.

Lesley added: “Recent reports have indicated month on month increases, so buying now could mean securing a home at today’s prices before any further upturn. That means if property prices continue to rise, buyers could potentially move into a home that is already worth more than they paid for it.”

All homes at Park Avenue @ Buckshaw Village will be built to exacting quality standards and feature Redrow’s new upgraded interior specification; including fabulous contemporary kitchens, with floor to ceiling units and top brand name appliances, and sleek bathroom suites.

There’s also the fact that it won’t require any costly renovation or repairs to bring it up to modern-day standards, comes with a 10-year warranty and, on average, a home built today is 40% more energy efficient than one built at the beginning of the decade.

There is currently a range of two and three-bedroom homes for sale at Park Avenue @ Buckshaw Village, priced from £105,000 to £199,995.

Some of the new homes are available through the Government-backed HomeBuy Direct scheme that allows eligible purchasers to take out an equity loan for up to 30% of the purchase price.

The loan is jointly funded by Redrow and the Homes & Community Agency (HCA) and, crucially, is interest-free for the first five years. It means a two-bedroom home could be purchased for an initial outlay of as little as £73,500.

Buckshaw Village is already a thriving community, situated between the bustling towns of Chorley and Leyland. Along with the new homes, there is a successful business park and proposals for a district shopping centre, provision for a new railway station with park and ride facilities, a primary school, health centre and outdoor sports amenities.
