Miller Homes explains why now is the time to buy

People can visit the marketing suite at each Chorley development anytime between 10.30am and 5.30pm, to find out more about buying a new home now, whilst interest rates are low and there are some great value properties still to be found, if you know where to look.
Miller Homes still have a few new homes available on the Government backed Homebuy Direct (HBD) scheme. Buyers will need to move quick though as there is a qualifying period and funding is due to expire in March next year. Due to the success of the scheme, the allocation of HBD properties available is likely to expire well before the deadline.
The HBD initiative has been set up to help first time buyers, key workers, families on a combined income of less than £60,000, and living in overcrowded accommodation, and people in a relationship breakdown get onto or move up the property ladder. Buyers can purchase 100% of their home by paying a minimum of 70% of the value now, with Miller Homes and the Government equally funding the remaining 30%.
Further incentives to move now are that the stamp duty holiday on properties costing less than £175,000 is due to expire as too is the 15% VAT period. This returns to its 17.5% rate at the end of December, thus increasing the cost of services like solicitors and removal companies.
New releases at Whittle-le-Park offer a choice of 3 and 4 bedroom semi-detached and town houses with HBD and large 4 and 5 bed family homes. All are built to Miller Homes’ high standards and being brand new, the property is sparkling and maintenance free, leaving buyers free to relax and enjoy their new surroundings.
Whittle-le-Park is part of the new Buckshaw Village development, with everyday amenities on hand in the village-like shopping centre. Lying between the M6 and M61, the development is also conveniently situated for travelling throughout the North West.
Over at Birkacre Park, HBD is available on the ‘Chantrey’ house design; an impressive and practical 4/5 bed family home extending over three floors. An elegant bay windowed dining room is ideal for formal entertaining, while the kitchen breakfast area, with French doors opening out to the garden, is where family life is sure to revolve.
Birkacre Park is a hidden gem of a development and has been nominated for a ‘Best Development of the Year’ award. It is located less than two miles from Chorley town centre. There is a tree lined drive up to the development and once there a picture of serenity awaits. A village green and pond mark the entrance to this peaceful new neighbourhood, flanked by Yarrow Country Park and Duxbury Park Golf Club.
