A sparkling winter break in Canada

13th October 2009 Print

For a sparkling short break in the run-up to Christmas, head to Niagara Falls for the annual Winter Festival of Lights, courtesy of Canada specialist, Bon Voyage.

Between 7 November and 4 January, a five-kilometre route adjacent to the Falls is transformed into a ‘winter wonderland’ with more than three million sparking tree and ground lights, plus over 120 breathtaking lighting displays including animated Disney characters and Canadian wildlife.

Further highlights include ‘Rink at the Brink’ – an ice skating rink a stone’s throw from Niagara, Santa Claus parades, concerts and, each Friday evening, sensational firework displays above the Falls.

As an example of price, a five-night break – combining two nights at the four-star Sheraton on the Falls Hotel overlooking Niagara with three nights at the four-star Hilton Hotel in Toronto – costs £665 per person.

This twin share price, applicable between 7 November and 15 December, includes return flights from Gatwick, airport transfers and room-only accommodation.
