Autumn in Britain brings darker nights combined with dropping temperatures. In Southern Italy however, the sun continues to shine and 25ºC is a regular occurrence.

From the 6th of December, a local Christmas fair takes place in Bari. Here, a series of religious and folkloristic performances in honour of Saint Nicola occur over a month, and to whet those shopping appetites, in Viale Luigi Einaudi, a market of over 90 vendors can be found, offering everything from hand-carved wooden figurines to Christmas sweets and traditional Italian ornaments.
