Faithless to play live gigs at Gatecrasher this weekend

26th November 2009 Print

Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November will mark the return of one of the biggest dance acts in the world to Gatecrasher - Faithless. Responsible for dance floor destroyers such as Insomnia, God Is A DJ and We Come 1 to name a few, Faithless will be performing live.

Rarely has the world of dance music produced a band that has the natural ability to write classic dance anthems and can perform them into emotionally compelling and powerful live concert performances. Faithless is one of the few bands who can do both. They are currently one of the biggest bands in the house, trance and trip hop music scene.

Together with producer Rollo, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz are renowned as kingpins of the massively successful trip-hop/dance collective Faithless. A ballsy Brit band which headlined every festival this year whilst still touring the world and hitting the studio to work on their new album.

Faithless are preparing to return with their 7th studio album early in 2010. The as yet untitled album heralds a new Faithless experience which encompasses the band’s celebrated eclecticism, originality and ambience that has made them a global phenomenon. Their first offering ‘Sun To Me’ is a track from the album which, whilst not a single, has been playing out over the last month to widespread acclaim as a taster of what to expect.

Wired with the emotion and dance grooves that are synonymous with Faithless, ‘Sun To Me’ is utterly refreshing and without a hint of predictability. “Sun To Me is something we’ve been playing with since we went to work in LA a year ago – inspired by the Californian sunshine, and the wide open spaces along the Pacific highway – Sun To Me hopefully shines a little light in these dark times” says Sister Bliss.

Maxi Jazz & Sister Bliss will be playing live as Faithless Sound System at the following dates:

November
27th Nottingham, Gatecrasher
28th Birmingham, Gatecrasher
