Couple save time and money by moving to new Redrow home

Trading up to a bigger, better, brand new home proved to be a smooth move for Simon and Natasha Pile. Buying and selling property can be a long and complicated process. But it doesn’t have to be that way, as Simon and Natasha discovered when they bought a new Redrow home at Broughton Manor, near Milton Keynes.
“We sold our old two-bedroom Victorian terrace quickly and wanted to trade up to somewhere that was bigger and ready to move in to,” Simon explained.
“We looked at a lot of developments around here but loved Redrow’s Broughton Manor venture, particularly the ‘Shaftsbury’ house type.”
A former show home, their four-bedroom house is different to other ‘Shaftsbury’ properties as it was given a makeover to showcase the latest interior specification with a modern layout, contemporary kitchen and sleek bathroom suite.
“The whole top floor is the main bedroom with en-suite. We even have a balcony which offers views over Milton Keynes,” Simon said.
Buying a brand new home helped save Simon, 34, and Natasha, 32, time and money.
“Redrow helped make the whole process easier. It all happened quite fast. We put our old house on the market, sold it, found our new home and moved in within 11 weeks,” Simon added.
Redrow has calculated that it can cost almost £30,000 to bring an older second hand property up to the same standard as one of their new homes.
Simon commented: “It was a conscious decision to move in to a new build. We wouldn’t have been able to buy a Victorian house with the same large amount of space we have now at the same price.”
“We would have had to have bought somewhere that needed a lot of work to bring it up to the high standard of the Redrow home we’ve got now.”
A stunning range of three, four and five-bedroom homes are currently available at Broughton Manor priced from £214,995 to £395,995.
Mary Timlin, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “Broughton Manor offers stylish living in traditional surroundings. Residents can enjoy the peacefulness of country life yet still be close to all the amenities they may need.”
She added: “These spacious homes are the perfect place to raise a family with primary and secondary schools nearby.
“Broughton Manor’s also ideal for commuters as it’s just a few minutes drive from Milton Keynes and boasts excellent links via the M1 for those who enjoy city life.”
