Wedgwood goes Solus with Ford
World famous English luxury lifestyle company Wedgwood has switched from a user-chooser policy to a solus Ford agreement for its fleet of cars and commercial vehicles. The Staffordshire-based company had been user-chooser until this April when, following an extensive review, Wedgwood decided to implement a solus policy and signed a three-year agreement with Ford. The majority of cars will be Focus and Mondeo models. The fleet will be 100 per cent diesel-powered.
"When deciding on a marque we had to be satisfied as to the quality, reliability and whole life cost of the vehicles," said Wedgwood spokesman Andrew Shaw.
"In addition, we were determined that the vehicles had to be as environmentally friendly as possible and also that they would provide good fuel economy. Ford was able to meet these criteria, offering a wide choice of vehicles and engines with good standard levels of equipment."
Wedgwood has been an internationally renowned company for almost 250 years, with a global reputation among ceramics manufacturers based on maintaining the highest standards of design, craftsmanship, quality and innovation.
"The name Wedgwood is synonymous with quality and taste," said Kevin Griffin, Ford’s Fleet Operations Director. "We’re delighted that the company should settle on Ford-badged vehicles for its fleet."
