Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet Ford will be celebrating a landmark total sales number for the country's top-selling car, the Ford Focus, at this year's British show. In July 2006 sales figures for this Ford favourite will pass the 1,000,000 mark. The Ford Focus was launched in 1998 and has not been off the bestsellers' list since. Ford plans to mark the Focus range's outstanding achievement in a special way at the show.

One of the newest Ford Focus cars is a model capable of running on bioethanol and petrol. The Ford Focus Flexible Fuel Vehicle, Britain's first biofuel car, will be among a number of Ford cars on display able to use this renewable fuel.

Another new model in the Focus range is the Coupé-Cabriolet, which will be seen in Britain for the first time, with UK prices and specifications announced at the show. The Coupé-Cabriolet combines the Ford Focus car's acclaimed driving quality, Italian style courtesy of our Pininfarina partners and practicality. Substantial luggage capacity with the roof down increases to more than 500 litres of useable space with the roof up in coupé mode.

Other Ford star exhibits at the London show are new Ranger, as well as S-MAX, Galaxy and Focus ST. Ford's news conference at 11am on the July 18 media day will be hosted by Roelant de Waard, new Ford of Britain chairman and managing director, at his first British motor show.
