Redrow opens four new show homes at Buckshaw Village

Show homes are still the most important factor when choosing a new home, according to research by award winning house builder Redrow. So news of four new show homes opening at Buckshaw Village, near Chorley, this weekend (January 16/17) is a major plus for potential purchasers.
The four professionally designed and decorated, fully furnished properties combine traditional looking exteriors, evocative of years gone by, with a contemporary specification that’s perfect for modern lifestyles.
They promote the latest phase at Buckshaw Village, ‘The Village Green’, which features a new collection of three and four-bedroom detached family homes.
Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “On-line research by Redrow showed that well over half of would-be home owners consider a fully furnished show home to be the most important marketing tool in making their decision. Well, with our four new show homes at Buckshaw Village they’ll be truly spoilt for choice!
“It’s also the chance for them to get a sneak preview of our New Heritage Collection before it’s officially launched.”
The four new show homes have been designed to reflect the lifestyles of different types of purchaser, including a young professional couple who work hard and play hard, a young family and also a family with older children.
One home in particular, the four-bedroom detached ‘Cambridge’, has been given a glamorous makeover with worldwide appeal by interior design company Show Business.
Catherine Ogilvie, from Show Business, explained: “This show home has been designed around a family that likes to travel and every room reflects a different place in their globe-trotting itinerary. Wallpapers, fabrics, furniture and accessories reminiscent of different parts of the world are brought together in a subtle and surprisingly coordinated way.”
The open plan kitchen, dining and family room that spans the whole of the back of the house and has wide patio doors onto the garden is a convivial space that lends itself to 21st century living – a place where all the family can work, rest and play. Its décor brings back ‘memories’ of a safari in Africa, featuring textured wallpaper with the look and feel of animal hide and a neutral colour palette with black and ivory accent colours.
The lounge transports visitors to Bali, while the master bedroom has the luxurious feel of the most upmarket boutique hotel. The three remaining bedrooms have been designed around the New York yearnings of a stylish, shopaholic teenager, a snowboarding fanatic and a Disney-mad youngster.
The four show homes create a stunning shop window for The Village Green, where three and four-bedroom detached homes are currently priced from £179,995. They represent the latest phase of development at Buckshaw Village, a thriving new community between the bustling towns of Chorley and Leyland.
Along with the new homes, there is a successful business park and proposals for a district shopping centre, provision for a new railway station with park and ride facilities, a primary school, health centre and outdoor sports amenities.
Visitors to Redrow’s show home opening weekend will also be able to get mortgage advice from a financial adviser and find out how ‘Mastermove’ could help those with an existing property to sell. Redrow will arrange valuations, appoint an estate agent, organise the Home Information Pack and pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day.
